For people who don’t know me personally, here’s a bit of my back story and why I’ve decided to open Listowel Squash Courts.

I attended Listowel District Secondary School and soon after graduating I moved to Toronto.  I moved around GTA for a few years and while moving around the GTA, we discovered our love for squash.

After 6 years in the Toronto area, I decided to move back to Listowel, with my fiancé. I was still unsure of a career and worked mostly in warehouses throughout this time, once settled into our Listowel house I started a floor installation apprenticeship and soon after that opened my own business. I’ve maintained my floor installation business since that time, which has also allowed me to be a part time stay at home dad.

Over the past 10 years I’ve always had squash in the back of my mind and really missed the many court locations of the GTA. I’ve also noticed that Listowel has grown substantially since moving back and the recreational opportunities have not grown with it.

Now that my 2 children are in school and my body aches from installing floors, I’ve decided to open a business that offers something new to the residents of North Perth. I’m hoping to help the community grow and introduce a sport that can be played year round. Squash is great for the mind and body and I’d love to see all types of players come and try it (new and seasoned). I’ve even played a few rounds of squash with my 6 year old son and he loves it!

As a husband and father, I realize that it’s not easy to find time for a new adventure or recreational sport but it’s my goal to make this process as easy as possible!
